The commentary that follows is almost ritualistic. Somebody will say the back nine &ldquo;lacked drama.&rdquo; Somebody else will point out that a blowout is bad for television, as though the point of watching golf were ever to sit through ninety minutes of somebody else&rsquo;s anxiety. I have never quite believed either complaint, and the more of these routs I watch, the less patience I have for the idea that golf needs a coin flip on the 18th green to be worth the afternoon.</p>
