Jeeno Thitikul Weathers a Back-Nine Wobble to Win the LOTTE Championship

Thu, 08 Oct 2026 00:00:00 +0000

Jeeno Thitikul had turned the LOTTE Championship into a procession for most of Sunday at Hoakalei Country Club, three clear with three holes to play and giving every impression of a player coasting to a tidy win in Hawaii. Golf, being golf, found a way to make the finish uncomfortable anyway. A double bogey at the par-4 16th handed the lead back to Ina Yoon, and for a few minutes the tournament that had looked settled an hour earlier was open again. Thitikul answered with back-to-back birdies at 17 and 18, closed with a 68 for a 21-under total of 267, and won by three. It was her fourth LPGA title of 2026 and her eleventh as a professional, and it came the hard way rather than the comfortable way the front nine had promised.

Jeeno Thitikul's Bogey-Free Run Sets Up a Fourth Win of the Year at the LOTTE Championship

Jeeno Thitikul has played the first fifty-three holes of the LOTTE Championship at Hoakalei Country Club without a single blemish on her card, which is the kind of statistic that tends to sound more impressive than it feels in the moment, right up until the one hole that breaks the run turns into the best story of the day instead of the worst. On Saturday, playing the par-4 7th, she found water and signed for her only bogey of the week. She answered it with five birdies over her closing eleven holes, and by the time she walked off the 18th green she had a 5-under 67 in hand and a three-shot lead heading into Sunday’s final round, the kind of cushion that looks comfortable on paper and rarely feels that way to the player holding it.
