LIV Golf Michigan was supposed to close out the 2026 season in style, a $40 million Team Championship at The Cardinal at Saint John’s in suburban Detroit, played over the last weekend of August. Instead, the event looks set to be scrapped, the second LIV tournament cancelled this year after LIV Golf Louisiana was pulled back in April. An official announcement is expected any day, but the reporting behind it has been consistent enough across several outlets that the outcome is no longer really in doubt.
